Medical dermatology is the cornerstone of Complete Dermatology. With Consultant Dermatologist status on the GMC Specialist Register since 2008, and five years of exclusive dermatology training prior to that, specialist medical expertise underpins every consultation and treatment plan. This depth of experience allows for accurate diagnosis and effective management of a broad spectrum of skin conditions.

Medical dermatology services include the assessment and treatment of:

  • Sun damage and skin cancer checks
  • Inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and lichen planus
  • Skin infections
 
 Every consultation is specialist-led, ensuring care goes beyond short-term symptom control. The focus is on long-term skin health, evidence-based treatments, and clear, structured management plans that patients can trust. Currently Dr Crichlow sees Medical Dermatology patients in her NHS practice, at Spire Harpenden and One Stop Healthcare. This will continue for now but as the year progresses the plan is to consolidate all treatment at Complete Dermatology. We will update you when we are accepting Medical Dermatology bookings.

Pillar 2: Cosmetic Dermatology

Cosmetic dermatology at is approached with restraint, precision, and integrity.

Our philosophy is simple: the best cosmetic results begin with healthy skin. Treatments are designed to enhance skin quality and confidence while maintaining natural facial balance — never over-treatment.

Personalised skincare plans form the foundation of every cosmetic plan, supported by carefully selected in-clinic treatments, including:

  • Chemical peels
  • Wrinkle-relaxing injections
  • Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
  • Polynucleotides and exosomes for skin regeneration
  • Profhilo
  • Microneedling (hand-held and radiofrequency)

Advanced laser technologies (Aviclear, Excel V+, Secret PRO) are also used where appropriate to optimise skin texture, tone, and overall quality.

All cosmetic treatments are delivered using a dermatology-led approach, prioritising safety, skin health and sustainable, long-term results.

Pillar 3: Surgical Dermatology

Surgical dermatology focuses on the assessment and treatment of skin lesions where surgical intervention is required.

This includes:

  • Assessment of suspicious or changing skin lesions
  • Removal of benign and malignant lesions
  • Skin cancer surgery and ongoing follow-up care
 
All procedures are performed with clinical accuracy and careful attention to both medical and cosmetic outcomes. Patient reassurance, clear communication, informed consent and optimal long-term results are always central to the surgical process. We are not yet offering surgical procedures at Complete Dermatology but Dr Crichlow can conduct these at her other venues-Spire Harpenden Hospital and One Stop Healthcare. We will update you when are taking bookings for surgery- in all cases patients need to be seen and assessed first.

Pillar 4: Laser Dermatology

Laser dermatology plays a vital role in treating a wide range of skin concerns safely, effectively, and with precision — when delivered under specialist dermatology care.

At Complete Dermatology, advanced laser treatments are used to address both medical and cosmetic skin concerns, following a thorough skin assessment and clear clinical rationale.

Laser treatments are used to manage:

  • Acne and acne scarring
  • Pigmentation and sun damage
  • Rosacea and thread veins
  • Overall skin quality, tone, and texture
