Experience radiant, refreshed skin with Laser Genesis
Dr Sharon Crichlow is proud to offer Cutera’s Laser Genesis alongside its cutting-edge Excel V+ technology.
Laser Genesis is designed to refresh and renew your skin. Using advanced laser technology (sub mili-second pulses), it penetrates beneath the skin’s surface to stimulate collagen production and target common concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, redness and sun damage.
Renowned for enhancing skin texture and appearance, Laser Genesis leaves your complexion smoother, firmer, and brighter.
What is Laser Genesis?
Laser Genesis is a near-infrared YAG laser which gently heats the dermis, located just below the skin’s surface, to produce long-lasting stimulation of collagen and elastin, resulting in improved skin tone and texture.
Dr Sharon Crichlow can also combine Laser Genesis with other clinically proven technologies and topical treatments for optimal results.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need Laser Genesis?
Laser Genesis is an excellent choice for anyone wanting to refresh and rejuvenate their skin without any downtime. This gentle, non-invasive treatment helps reduce redness, minimise the appearance of pores, and smooth fine lines for healthier, more radiant skin. It is an ideal skin maintenance and ‘red carpet’ treatment. It makes your skin look its best!
How many treatments do I need?
The number of sessions required varies depending on your skin’s unique needs and concerns. Most patients see noticeable improvements after just a few treatments, with a typical treatment schedule of at least 3 sessions, 2-4 weeks apart, for optimal results.
How long is each appointment?
A Laser Genesis session takes approximately 30 minutes.
Is any pre-treatment required?
No pre-treatment preparation is required but we do ask you to avoid the sun for 4 weeks prior and at least 2 weeks after treatment. We will do a patch test to a small area before treating the full face.
What should I expect during treatment? Is it painful? Is any analgesia required?
Laser Genesis is not considered painful, and most patients describe the treatment as comfortable, with a gentle warming sensation to the skin often described as ‘warm raindrops’. Some people find the treatment relaxing.
Is there any downtime?
There is no downtime associated with this treatment, and you can resume your normal daily activities immediately after treatment, making it the ideal lunchtime procedure.
Is it safe for all skin types?
Laser Genesis is safe and effective for all skin types. It can also be performed throughout the year, including the summer months.
Are there any common side effects / complications that I should know about?
Laser Genesis is a very safe treatment with minimal side effects. You may experience mild redness or a warm sensation in the treatment area, but this typically subsides in just a few hours. There is no significant risk of scarring or long-term side effects.
