It’s been a while since I last connected with you in print — that’s because I’ve been busy setting up Complete Dermatology! We opened our doors on Friday 6th March, and it’s been non-stop ever since, as you can imagine. Thank you to all my wonderful patients for your support so far — it’s much appreciated.
Real Results: A Rosacea Transformation
I’m delighted to say that we’ve now treated numerous patients with a range of products, procedures, lasers and other devices. One patient in particular stands out: a lovely lady who had struggled with rosacea, severe facial redness and thread veins for years. She had a prominent vessel on her nose that was difficult to conceal with make-up and was affecting her confidence. Two Excel V sessions later, and the results speak for themselves — this is the most rewarding part of my job: transforming lives and helping people look and feel better. Acne Awareness Month
Acne treatment continues to be a major part of what we do. June was Acne Awareness Month, and I was honoured to take part in a Cutera AviClear faculty developed to establish best practice and technique for optimum outcomes. I came away with several tips to make treatment more comfortable for patients — in medicine, ongoing learning and development is never optional.
A New Chapter: CQC Registration
I’m thrilled to announce that Complete Dermatology is now registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The standards the CQC demands are rightly rigorous, and this registration confirms that we’re a regulated professional medical facility committed to the highest standards of care.
It’s also a major step toward our long-term goal of offering a full dermatology service, including skin surgery. It means I can now see the full range of general dermatology patients, confident that I can carry out biopsies, excisions, shaves and other surgical procedures as needed.
I’ve also begun collaborating with Dr Samantha Anthony, a dermatological surgeon who works within the NHS and has run the successful private STAR service for many years. Dr Anthony will provide more complex dermatological surgery where required, such as facial excisions. This service is scheduled to begin in August 2026.
New Partnership: Mole Mapping Clinic
We’ve also teamed up with the Mole Mapping Clinic to bring you their mobile mole mapping service. The first session is scheduled for Friday 24th July, and we anticipate offering this on a monthly basis going forward. It’s particularly well suited to patients with numerous moles who find them difficult to monitor effectively.
Please note this service is provided independently and run entirely by the Mole Mapping Clinic, who supply reports directly to patients. Should any further follow-up or surgery be recommended as a result, we’ll be happy to help facilitate this.
Looking Ahead
At the moment, the clinic is open on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays — please see our contact page for full opening times and details. From September, we’ll also be open on Wednesdays, with plans to gradually add Thursdays and then Mondays by the end of the year.
